Welcome
What Can I Expect When I Visit?
Worship
In our worship service, you will find traditional hymns taken from our Chalice Hymnal accompanied by our organ or pian, and you will find newer songs accompanied by guitar or just a piano. We participate in the Lord’s Supper every week and it is a central part of our worship experience. Our service is probably more laid-back than most. Some men wear ties, most don’t, some women wear dresses, most don’t. We hope when you arrive you will be greeted by people who are happy to see you (if you’re not, you officially have permission to tell the pastor!).
Do Visitors Usually Come to Sunday School too?
Some do, but many find that our 11am worship service is a very good way to begin getting to know the congregation. For others, Christian education is very important and so they will attend Sunday School to get to know us from that perspective. Truth is, if you’re visiting, we’ll be happy to see you at any point on Sunday. We encourage you to do what makes your most comfortable on your first visit.
Child Care
Child care for Pre-K is provided for both services and Sunday School. It’s also provided during our Wednesday night Bible Study at church if you decide to visit us then. Our service is also very welcoming to children and youth. If you have an infant who starts crying, don’t feel like you have to leave. Our members understand what a beautiful thing life is.
Parking
We have ample parking on our site surrounding our buildings. We typically only get close to capacity on major holidays. The visitor spots are reserved for you, so don’t be afraid to use them!
Church Information
There is a table in the hall outside the sanctuary with detailed information and everything we do and are as a church (most of which can be found on this site, too). There is also a “Visitor Register” that even has the signatures of some of our longest members, we’d be delighted if you added yours.
After You Visit
Expect to hear from us and receive a small gift. We make calls to everyone who visits, that’s just our way of doing community. If you prefer a phone call or a house call just let us know.
